Google Classroom for Parents/Guardians

Grace Academy will be sending out email invites throughout this week to help parents/guardians be more informed with remote learning.  You can choose whether to never receive summaries (teachers can still email you directly) or to get an email daily or weekly about your child’s work load.

It is entirely voluntary but if you think this will be helpful, please accept the invite.

The emails you will receive from Google classroom can show you:

  • Missing work—Work that’s late at the time the email was sent
  • Upcoming work—Work that’s due today and tomorrow (for daily emails) or work that’s due in the upcoming week (for weekly emails)
  • Class activity—Announcements, assignments, and questions recently posted by teachers

The invite email will come directly from Google and will look similar to the following image:

As noted, you don’t need a Google email account for this but please be aware that your email address will be available to use by your child’s teachers (and other staff at the school).

If you have received an invite in error or have changed your email address recently (and would like to take part), please send an email to:

You can also get in touch with the school in the normal way and we can arrange for a new invite to be issued.

More information and an example summary email can be found on the Google help pages.
