After the Prime Minister’s announcement that the lifting of restrictions will be pushed back on Monday evening, we made contact with Coombe Abbey who informed us they have cancelled all prom and events alike. Therefore, our proposed date of Monday 28th June will not be going ahead as we originally planned.
However, we remain absolutely committed to ensuring that our students end their time in secondary school at Grace with the most positive memories. Especially after all of the challenges and adversities our students have encountered as a result of the pandemic.
Therefore, we have confirmed Monday 19th July as the new date for our Year 11 Prom to take place. This is the first date that all restrictions will be lifted on the current roadmap outlined by the government.
Unfortunately, we have to stress that this date is completely dependent on all restrictions being lifted and as was the case here, that decision is ultimately out of our hands and lies with the venue. We will continue to keep you informed about any guidance changes that directly affect our students.
Whilst we are delighted to be able to still have the opportunity to put this event on even after the changes to guidance, we appreciate some students may not be able to attend. If this is the case, please contact Mrs. Bradshaw (email@example.com) by Monday 21st June.
Thank you for your continued support at what continues to be a challenging time!
