Principal Update

Dear Parent/Carer,
Since 2021 we have been striving to create a culture within the school to be proud of – ‘The Grace Way’ and I believe that we have proven beyond doubt through our excellent Ofsted report and fantastic results that we now have a school to be proud of – where our young people can grow and flourish whilst embodying our values of Limitless Potential, Genuine Integrity, Mutual Respect, Intentional Excellence and Amazing Grace, and where there are long term sustainable improvements and success for all.
As part of this journey, I have been committed to embedding ‘The Grace Way’ and our belief that ‘education changes the world for young people’ and have shared that vision, our values and our success beyond the school gates. Over the last few months I have also been working with a school in Northamptonshire on their school improvement journey and am delighted they are beginning to adopt a similar ethos.
From January 2024, my role will develop within the Tove Learning Trust and I have been appointed Executive Principal, responsible not only for our wonderful school, but also having more responsibility within the Trust working with other schools. My heart and home remains at Grace Academy Coventry and I want to reassure you that whilst my job title may have changed and I may be spending some time each week at other schools, I will be spending the majority of my time here at Grace.
In order to ensure the smooth running of Grace when I am supporting other schools and to ensure absolute consistency in our standards, expectations and commitment to ‘The Grace Way’, Emily Wheller (Vice Principal) will step up to the role of Associate Principal and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the school. Mrs Wheller has been at Grace for five years and is a committed, dedicated and talented senior leader and I have every faith in her ability to take responsibility for the school in my absence. The journey over the last four years has been one we have undertaken together and I know Mrs Wheller is excited for the next phase of this journey to ensure the best outcomes for your children.
