Sixth Form Results Day
It was a lovely morning with a buzz of excitement in the air seeing the students come in to collect their results with staff here to share in the moment with them. Post 16 courses are extremely demanding and the students deserve huge credit for their achievements and the hard work they have put in over the past two years.
Here at Grace we are exceptionally proud of the hard work and dedication of our students and staff, resulting in a trend of continued success in our students excellent A level and impressive BTEC results.
Our partnership with Coventry Building Society has exponentially improved the students’ ability to revise, enhanced their study skills and preparation for employment which can be seen reflected in their results and we are extremely grateful to CBS for their continued support for our students.
It was wonderful to be able to speak with all our students in person to discuss their finalised next steps. The vast majority of our students are intending to go on to university, with all of those students being accepted for their first choice universities. Others have achieved results to be very proud of and are choosing not to go to university, having been offered some fantastic opportunities following the route of employment.
A number of our students received a phenomenal set of results; Laila achieved an A* in Sociology, A in Psychology and a Distinction* in Business Studies and has a place at Birmingham City University to read Psychology and Counselling.
Alicia has a fantastic set of results, achieving an A in English, B in Psychology and B in Art and is very excited to be taking a year working abroad before embarking on further studies.
Davina received an impressive set of results, including an A in Sociology, a B in Psychology and a Distinction* in Business Studies and Health and Social Care and has secured a place at the University of Warwick to read Psychology. Davina said “I’m really happy with my results and that all my hardwork has paid off. I’m so proud to go to the University of Warwick, one of the best universities in the country”.
Sarah has a fantastic set of results, achieving a Distinction in Health and Social Care, a distinction in Business and a B in Sociology and has a place at Coventry City University to study Adult Nursing. Sarah said “I am so pleased with my results. I cannot thank my teachers enough for all the support along the way and all the reassurance that everything will be well, it made my time at sixth form a lot smoother.”
This is such an exciting time for our students with new pathways ahead and they deserve our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes for their future endeavours. #thegraceway
