Planners
Student planners are integral to life at Grace Academy Coventry.
All students are issued a planner when they start at Grace Academy. Students need to have their planners at line-ups every morning, and planners should be visible and on desks during every lesson. Planners should be clean, tidy and kept in good condition.
Every lesson, students will receive a stamp which reflects their behaviour, effort and quality of work completed. Students also receive stamps around the school site when they show exemplary behaviour or a requirement to do better.
Form tutors check planners twice a day (morning and afternoon form period) and will use that planner in order to communicate with home. If students receive negative stamps they will be kept for up to 20 minutes at the end of the school day.
In addition, all homework is recorded in student planners. Parents should check student planners every evening to monitor their child’s behaviour and to keep up-to-date with any homework set.
