Dear Parents/Carers,

Re: Proposed Teachers’ Strike Action Day – Wednesday 1^st February 2023

I am writing to inform you that we will be open as normal on Wednesday 1^st February.  You may have heard on the news that this is a day of strike action by teachers who are members of the National Education Union (‘NEU’).

We will endeavour to keep all provision as undisrupted as possible and appear to be adequately staffed to remain open to all year groups during this strike action.

I would also like to reiterate that any action being taken by NEU members is not directed at the school nor the education that your children receive at Grace Academy.  We are really proud as a staffing body of the quality of education we provide and this is testament to the unwavering commitment all staff have to the education that children deserve.  Any and all strike action is aimed at the national government and decisions being made at a national level around education. 

I will keep you informed should anything change either before Wednesday or in advance of the next proposed strike action days.
