As part of our Limitless Potential core value at Grace Academy Coventry, we believe in inspiring our students and giving them endless opportunities to gain skills, confidence, overcome obstacles and support them as they look towards future success and we are proud to be able to offer our students the opportunity to take part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme. 

Why do DofE?

Thousands of young people who take part in the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme each year say how 'life-changing' the experience has been for them and we are very excited that you can be a part of this.  

We know that students who have achieved an award in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme have an edge over others when applying for college, an apprenticeship or university. 

Beyond your academic achievements, further and higher education providers look for evidence of 'soft skills' that you have developed through enrichment activities - skills such as communication, commitment, leadership and teamwork.  The Duke of Edinburgh award is a fantastic way to demonstrate and evidence these skills in practice. 

Taking part in DofE will also support you in both wellbeing and character development.  You will be able to make a difference in the lives of other people, serve your community, build upon friendships and understand what it means to live a healthy lifestyle.
