In-school testing

Following the announcement (6th July) by the Department for Education, we will be re-introducing in-school mass testing when students return to school in September. The advice is that all secondary school students should receive 2 on-site lateral flow device tests (3 to 5 days apart) upon their return in the autumn term.

Please ensure you complete the electronic consent form that will be emailed to you. A response is required whether you consent to your child taking part in the testing or not. If you are having issues completing the form please contact the Academy Office.

First day arrangements

The first day for Year 7 Students will be Tuesday 7th September, even if they are not having a Lateral Flow test. Students should arrive through the main gate and then line up before entering the Academy.  Line ups will be promptly at the following times:

From September, all students wearing skirts must wear a knee-length pleated skirt with black tights. Skirts that are non-pleated will not be permitted. In addition, black school jumpers will not be permitted inside the school building. Parents are also reminded that the only piercings permitted are a single pair of studs in the ear. All other piercings, if applicable, must be removed prior to arrival at the Academy. This includes clear inserts in piercing holes or covering piercings with a plaster, neither of which are permitted.
